Responsibilities
- Design and maintain end-to-end validation across UI, REST APIs, SQL databases, and Databricks tables.
- Build and evolve automated tests for bulk, delta, and rebulk ETL processing, contract checks, and QC report validation.
- Verify calculated metrics and KPIs against source GDM and DPT data.
- Develop custom Python libraries and Robot Framework keywords for ADLS, Databricks, data comparison, and healthcare-specific validation.
- Manage test data pipelines, including CSV and JSON fixtures, virtual-machine uploads, ADLS uploads, and Vault-based configuration.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
- Validate dashboard layouts, visual consistency, loading states, filters, charts, and KPI presentation.
- Collaborate with QA, product, ETL, microservice, UI, and UX teams to clarify requirements, align test coverage, and resolve defects.
- Plan and execute testing across parallel UI, ETL, and microservice workstreams.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of software testing experience.
- Experience with Robot Framework or similar test automation tools.
- Intermediate Python and advanced SQL skills; familiarity with Java or Scala is beneficial.
- Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure Databricks.
- Experience with Git and GitHub or GitLab workflows, including branch management.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD pipeline tools.
- Experience designing test cases for complex data workflows and managing defects with JIRA or similar tools.
- Knowledge of Docker and basic container orchestration.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, collaboration, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Experience collaborating with teams in Europe and understanding cross-cultural communication and remote delivery dynamics.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum project management concepts.
- Ability to guide and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
