Responsibilities
- Design and develop creative full-stack software solutions.
- Build AI-driven capabilities, including LLM-based services, orchestration, and business-workflow integrations.
- Drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices, including AI-assisted code review, refactoring, testing, and incident analysis.
- Validate AI-generated outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards, while sharing reusable patterns.
- Architect and deliver scalable, resilient, secure cloud-native microservices and REST or streaming APIs.
- Automate recurring operational issues and improve system stability and observability through logs, metrics, and tracing.
- Communicate project status and manage priorities across multiple initiatives.
- Collaborate in a Scrum team and participate in Agile ceremonies.
- Develop software using Java, AWS ECS, AWS EKS, and Postgres.
- Use AI agents including CoPilot and Claude to improve quality and delivery timelines.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in Software Engineering and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Strong system design, application development, and production operational-stability skills.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Ability to influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations through pragmatic architectures, tradeoffs, and standards.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and generative AI use cases such as RAG, agents, prompt and tool orchestration, evaluation, and guardrails.
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and ecosystems including PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, and Hugging Face.
- Experience with distributed systems and at least one major cloud platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Expertise in microservices, RESTful APIs, and relational or NoSQL data technologies.
- Practical experience building cloud-native systems, including event-driven architectures, streaming, or service mesh.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration and deployment tools.
- Preferred: cloud certification in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Preferred: working knowledge of Python for AI/ML implementations.
- Preferred: experience with multi-region service deployments and zero-downtime deployment.
- Preferred: familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and modern CI/CD practices.
- Preferred: track record delivering scalable, reliable, and secure products from concept to launch.
- Preferred: advanced Java proficiency with working knowledge of Python for AI/ML integrations.
