Responsibilities
- Own product or infrastructure direction for a major area from initial development through scalable solutions.
- Build highly scalable, available, and fault-tolerant engines processing hundreds of terabytes of data daily across thousands of customers.
- Perform low-level systems debugging, performance measurement, and optimization on large production clusters.
- Design architectures, influence product roadmaps, and take ownership of new projects.
- Prevent and investigate production issues using deep distributed-systems expertise.
- Plan and lead complex technical projects spanning multiple company teams.
- Drive organizational roadmaps, technical review committees, and engineering-wide initiatives.
- Break down complex problems, develop potential solutions, and de-risk them through prototyping and validation.
- Mentor engineers, lead sprint planning, delegate assignments, and participate in project planning.
- Contribute to recruiting and serve as a technical team lead.
Requirements
- 15+ years of industry experience building and supporting large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures, including real-world applications.
- Experience driving company initiatives toward customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work toward a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables.
- Motivation to deliver customer value and business impact.
