Base Salary

$87k - $182k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Train, fine-tune, and evaluate custom YOLO object-detection models using proprietary datasets.
  • Process, clean, and format raw production video into training datasets.
  • Manage image and video-frame annotation, verify annotation quality, and generate synthetic data when needed.
  • Develop Python inference pipelines that process video frames and export structured predictions in JSON or Protobuf.
  • Produce performance reports, confusion matrices, and precision-recall curves to improve model detection capabilities.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML, video, and software engineers to deliver production-ready code in short sprints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of software engineering or data science experience, including 2 or more years building and training computer vision models.
  • Proficiency in Python and core machine learning libraries including NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-Learn.
  • Hands-on experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow for neural network training.
  • Experience implementing YOLO for object detection, segmentation, or classification.
  • Familiarity with OpenCV or FFmpeg for image and video processing.
  • Experience with data curation, formatting, and annotation platforms such as CVAT or LabelImg.
  • Experience using Git and collaborating on shared codebases.
  • Ability to benchmark model performance using metrics such as mAP, FPS, and inference latency.
  • Willingness to work on site two to three days per week.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a CBP background investigation.
  • Preferred familiarity with Docker, GPU execution environments, ONNX, TensorRT, multi-object tracking libraries, Jira, and Confluence.
