Responsibilities
- Architect and implement the on-chain order book and matching engine in Rust.
- Design and extend exchange-specific order execution, risk checks, and account/state management logic.
- Develop protocol-level state transition logic, consensus, validator interaction, and transaction processing pipelines.
- Integrate with oracles, bridges, and external data providers for correctness and resilience in adversarial conditions.
- Optimize execution for low latency, concurrency, and gas efficiency.
- Conduct benchmarking and stress testing to identify and resolve performance and throughput bottlenecks.
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of systems programming experience, including at least 3 years of Rust experience.
- Proven experience building trading platforms, execution engines, or decentralized or centralized exchanges.
- Contributions to Rust-based Layer 1 protocol projects such as Solana, Cosmos SDK, or Substrate.
- Deep understanding of distributed computing, consensus algorithms, peer-to-peer networking, and high-performance data structures.
- Deep knowledge of decentralized trading models, including on-chain order books, automated market makers, and hybrid architectures.
- Ability to independently design and implement complex, production-grade systems.
- Competitive programming or algorithmic problem-solving experience is a bonus.
- Expertise in low-latency design, concurrency, and performance optimization is a bonus.
