Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient microservices supporting platform-wide capabilities.
- Implement monitoring and alerting with Datadog and establish best practices for logging, tracing, and monitoring.
- Use Terraform and Terragrunt to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Optimize deployment pipelines to improve reliability and developer efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership in system design, architecture, and scalable-service engineering practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other teams to align platform capabilities and ensure smooth integrations.
- Participate in operational reviews, post-mortems, and reliability initiatives.
- Drive incident follow-up, reduce technical debt, and improve engineering efficiency through automation and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-ready, cloud-based systems focused on performance, security, and scalability.
- Strong proficiency in one or more of C#, Go, or Java, with experience in API services, distributed systems, and microservice architectures.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure and designing for scalability, observability, and reliability.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, including EKS or GKE, Docker, and cloud-native application design.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation using Terraform, AWS CDK, or Terragrunt.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins.
- Hands-on experience with Datadog, Prometheus, or similar monitoring tools.
- Ability to collaborate across teams, communicate clearly, align stakeholders, and connect technical solutions to business objectives.
- Prior experience working on platform, core, or shared-services teams is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, adaptability, judgment, and mentorship skills.
