Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded firmware.
- Prepare detailed plans for assignments spanning several weeks to months.
- Troubleshoot and debug firmware using unit tests, emulators, simulators, IDEs, and bench testing.
- Provide process improvement recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to understand firmware requirements.
- Perform functional integration testing before hand-off to the test and evaluation team.
- Conduct firmware design reviews on assigned projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science.
- Zero years of applicable experience required.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Preferred: ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Preferred: experience with C/C++, object-oriented design, Python, UML, real-time operating systems, microcontrollers, and serial communication protocols including SPI, SCI, IIC, and CAN.
- Preferred: knowledge of embedded firmware for 8-, 16-, and 32-bit microcontroller products.
- Preferred: knowledge of low-level microcontroller device drivers such as Timer, UART, and ADC.
- Preferred: knowledge of real-time operating systems such as ThreadX, MQX, and µC/OS.
- Preferred: embedded firmware debugging experience and familiarity with emulators and debuggers.
