Responsibilities
- Develop new software features and services and maintain or enhance existing applications and libraries.
- Assist with software architecture, design, coding, testing, documentation, and requirements gathering.
- Build GUI frameworks, web applications, Python/C++ utilities, scripts, simulators, and software tools for testing, data management, and analysis.
- Perform unit and integration testing, simulation, emulation, performance verification, troubleshooting, and quality assurance for satellite devices and transceivers.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to automation frameworks for Iridium services and devices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and teammates in sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
- Develop scalable, high-performance software and use open-source solutions where appropriate.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or graduate degree program at an accredited academic institution.
- Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Data Science/Applied Mathematics is preferred.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Must be able to work in person at an Iridium location.
- Interest in software development, product development, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering concepts.
- Strong communication, work ethic, attention to detail, independence, collaboration, and commitment to high-quality results.
