Responsibilities
- Lead technical implementation activities, including requirements gathering, software configuration, customization, environment setup, training, go-live support, and post-implementation support.
- Configure case management forms, searches, user permissions, workflow steps, business rules, and other application features to meet client requirements.
- Analyze client data specifications, perform data mapping, validate conversion files, and support data conversion and integration activities.
- Develop or assist with reports, documents, and templates using Jasper, Crystal Reports, Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, eSeries templates, and JDA.
- Design and execute unit, end-to-end, and other test plans; document results, analyze failures, and recommend corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot server and application issues by interpreting logs, identifying root causes, applying solutions, and escalating defects when necessary.
- Provide technical and end-user training, advanced go-live support, and customer-facing implementation guidance.
- Mentor junior staff, conduct code or configuration reviews, reinforce best practices, and collaborate with project managers, implementation specialists, and developers.
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, scalability, maintainability, quality, and security of implemented configurations and customizations.
- Travel as needed for implementations, training, go-live events, and other project activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 9 years of professional full-time experience with relational databases, preferably T-SQL or PL/SQL, including advanced data structure design, querying, and optimization.
- Experience as an Implementation Specialist or in software deployment or systems integration, including designing, configuring, customizing, and testing technical solutions.
- Strong experience with Velocity development and architecture; Groovy scripting experience is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with systems analysis, software customization, business rule development, data mapping, and report or template development.
- Ability to analyze complex technical problems, develop multiple approaches, and exercise discretion and judgment in resolving issues.
- Ability to read and troubleshoot server and application logs, identify root causes, and design corrective solutions.
- Understanding of computer networks, including firewalls, routing, and data exchanges, to support integration and security considerations.
- Experience designing, documenting, and executing unit and end-to-end test plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical audiences, peers, and clients, including translating business requirements into technical specifications and designs.
- Experience mentoring and training junior staff, reviewing work, providing technical guidance, and reinforcing best practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams and travel as needed.
- PMP or CAPM certification is a plus but not required; experience with Agile teams or formal Scrum or Agile training is a strong asset.
