Responsibilities
- Build and manage the Canadian sovereign cloud on Google Cloud and contribute to globally distributed cloud environments.
- Manage enterprise infrastructure at scale using Terraform and Crossplane across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
- Develop and onboard services using Go and Python, with automation tools including Puppet and Ansible.
- Implement code-defined Kubernetes-based software and infrastructure solutions that meet customer functional and security needs.
- Research and implement open-source and commercial tools, technologies, and methodologies.
- Collaborate with SRE, networking, and systems administration teams to maintain environmental stability.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of related systems engineering, cloud, or infrastructure automation experience with a bachelor’s degree; alternatively, 6 years with a master’s degree, 3 years with a PhD, or equivalent experience.
- Experience writing code to automate and provision software-defined systems using Python, Go, or Java.
- Experience with one or more of Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud; Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools; Kubernetes administration and development; and infrastructure management.
- Ability to critically consider or use AI in work processes, decision-making, problem-solving, workflow automation, or analysis.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Reliability Status, including five years of verifiable background history and required identity, education, criminal record, and credit checks.
- A learning mindset and motivation to improve services for internal and external customers.
Benefits
- Base salary of $125,700 - 220,000 CAD, plus equity when applicable, variable or incentive compensation, and benefits.

- Employment is contingent on successful completion and maintenance of Government of Canada Reliability Status screening.
