Responsibilities
- Design, develop, verify, and validate safety-critical avionics software features.
- Perform requirements analysis, software design, development, integration, formal verification, and testing throughout the SDLC.
- Develop verification test cases, test procedures, and software certification artifacts.
- Support structural coverage analysis and automated unit testing.
- Analyze software and hardware interfaces to ensure successful integration.
- Maintain compliance with DO-178B/C, configuration management, and change control processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global engineering teams to resolve technical issues and deliver milestones.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and scope changes and escalate issues proactively.
- Participate in customer interactions, technical discussions, presentations, and onsite engineering support as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related STEM discipline.
- At least 3 years of software development experience in a safety-critical domain, preferably avionics displays.
- Experience developing and verifying software under DO-178B/C guidelines.
- Strong programming skills in C and experience using Python for software verification and validation.
- Understanding of high-level and low-level software requirements, the SDLC, configuration management, and change control.
- Ability to develop software verification test cases and test procedures.
- Knowledge of structural coverage analysis, automated unit testing, and software certification documentation.
- Preferred experience with avionics or aerospace software, embedded software architecture, hardware/software integration, MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
