Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications for optical product development, manufacturing process development, testing, and automation.
- Develop software for automated assembly systems, machine vision, robotics, motion control, and data acquisition platforms.
- Create applications and dashboards to collect, manage, visualize, and analyze manufacturing, test, and product performance data.
- Integrate software with laboratory equipment, industrial automation platforms, databases, vision systems, and enterprise applications.
- Develop automated testing, validation, data logging, performance characterization, process control, traceability, and manufacturing quality solutions.
- Collaborate with optical, mechanical, electrical, process development, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams.
- Produce software requirements, architecture documentation, validation protocols, user guides, technical specifications, and support documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3–5 years of experience developing software applications, automation solutions, industrial software, or engineering systems for the Engineer II level.
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Python, C#, C++, or Java.
- Experience with version control, software testing, debugging, and software lifecycle management.
- Experience developing desktop, web-based, or engineering software applications.
- Knowledge of industrial automation systems, PLCs, machine vision, robotics, motion control, or manufacturing equipment integration.
- Experience with databases, SQL, data acquisition, data analytics, and reporting tools.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, API development, and system integration.
- Experience developing automated test platforms, validation tools, and software verification methodologies.
- Preferred qualifications include manufacturing or process-development experience, machine vision, image processing, robotics, motion control, fiber optics, optical communications, photonics, precision manufacturing, cloud analytics, AI/ML, Industry 4.0, OPC-UA, MQTT, REST APIs, or industrial communication protocols.
