Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and iterate on software concepts supporting user mobility requirements.
- Implement network protocol parsers and logic for filtering and sampling mobile network parameters.
- Virtualize product functions and develop proof-of-concept applications for customer trials.
- Develop methods for correlating user traffic to monitoring probes and contribute patentable methods.
- Participate in software feature definition, design reviews, code reviews, debugging, bug fixes, and customer issue resolution.
- Develop unit tests and perform feature and integration testing.
- Use IxNetwork, IxLoad, or other traffic tools for traffic generation and protocol simulation.
- Collaborate with QA engineers and software developers in a distributed US and Romania environment.
- Contribute ideas to improve product quality and development efficiency.
Requirements
- Working toward completing a BS in computer science or a related discipline.
- Coding experience in C++.
- Familiarity with Git.
- Strong debugging methodology.
- Protocol development familiarity, including wireless protocols, security protocols, or Wireshark, is a plus.
- Exposure to telecom, service providers, or communications is a plus.
- Experience with virtualization and microservice development, including Kubernetes, Docker containers, or Redis, is a plus.
- Strong English verbal communication skills, team collaboration, commitment to quality work, and willingness to support team success.
