Base Salary
$160k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop reliable, real-time software for Starlink gateways, satellites, user terminals, and switches.
- Participate in and lead architecture, design, and code reviews.
- Develop prototypes and manage experiments to validate key design concepts.
- Build tools for software development and deployment, data analysis and visualization, and test execution across virtualized hardware, real hardware-in-the-loop simulations, and on-orbit testing.
- Deploy reliable software, test execution, and data analysis through a continuous integration and release system.
- Own the complete software lifecycle, including development, testing, and support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or another STEM discipline plus 5+ years of professional software development experience, or 7+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- Professional production experience with C, C++, or assembly.
- Experience developing, debugging, and deploying software used in real-world applications or projects.
- Knowledge of real-time rendering, game engine development, physics simulation, or other real-time, resource-constrained, high-performance computing.
- Experience with networking protocols and distributed systems.
- Experience with security issues involving distributed systems and internet services.
- Experience with packet forwarding engines and IP packet processing at L3/L4, including DPDK, XDP/eBPF, or user-space forwarding.
- Experience with high-scale networking hardware such as Mellanox/NVIDIA BlueField SmartNICs or Intel IPUs is a plus.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.
