Responsibilities
- Design, implement, optimize, and maintain software tools for processing and analyzing test data.
- Collaborate with Test Analysis groups to translate mathematical models and equations into efficient software.
- Guide migration and integration of the current analysis-tool ecosystem into TSASM.
- Act as the technical point of contact between the Ground Station Team and the Spanish Analysis Community.
- Provide specialized technical support across avionics, mission, performance, handling qualities, powerplant, general systems, aerial delivery, and datalinks domains.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aeronautical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related discipline focused on scientific computing.
- Strong programming knowledge of MATLAB for scientific applications.
- Proficiency in Python and data-analysis libraries including NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Matplotlib, and the Jupyter ecosystem.
- Knowledge of Git; Jenkins and Nexus are desirable.
- Deep interest in scientific programming and ability to implement mathematical equations in efficient code.
- Advanced written and spoken English; Spanish is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for explaining software concepts to non-software engineers.
- Experience with Fortran 77/90 or C++, or willingness to learn them, is valuable.
- Familiarity with SimPy and Numba is valuable.
