
Threat Intelligence Engineer

Responsibilities
- Manage threat feeds, parse indicators of compromise, and maintain data quality across threat-intelligence platforms.
- Analyze emerging threats and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures to support detection and prevention engineering.
- Ingest and operationalize threat intelligence into SIEM, EDR, and firewall environments in collaboration with security teams.
- Build and maintain API integrations, scripts, and playbooks for indicator ingestion, correlation, and dissemination.
- Assist with deployment, configuration, maintenance, and tuning of threat intelligence platforms and related security engineering tools.
- Produce intelligence alerts, briefs, and tactical reports for technical teams.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in cybersecurity, including at least 1–2 years focused on threat intelligence, security engineering, or security operations.
- Understanding of network fundamentals, operating system internals, common attack vectors, and the cyber threat landscape.
- Experience with APIs, JSON, XML, STIX/TAXII, and systems integration.
- Ability to analyze open-source intelligence, technical reports, and internal logs to identify malicious activity and draw technical conclusions.
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and the Cyber Kill Chain.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting processes and communicating threat findings.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM systems, threat intelligence platforms, or EDR solutions.
- Proficiency with Python, PowerShell, or Bash is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, GIAC GSEC, or GIAC GCTI are preferred.
- Familiarity with securing and monitoring AWS, Azure, or GCP environments is preferred.
- Basic understanding of malware analysis or reverse-engineering concepts is preferred.
