Base Salary
$78k - $125k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java-based applications and TIBCO integrations in a high-volume, low-latency environment.
- Troubleshoot real-time system issues and provide timely support.
- Participate in software design, development, testing, and deployment across the SDLC.
- Implement unit and automated tests and apply object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Work with web services, REST APIs, XML, JSON, and HTML.
- Use Git and build tools such as Ant, Maven, and Gradle.
- Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and define business processes.
- Support software releases and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Pass a federal background investigation, obtain a Public Trust, and meet driver and Defensive Drivers certification requirements if applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 0–2 years of hands-on Java development experience.
- Knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming principles.
- Familiarity with TIBCO systems or willingness to learn.
- Exposure to web services, REST, XML, JSON, and HTML.
- Experience with Git, including academic or project work.
- Basic understanding of Agile methodologies such as sprints and daily stand-ups.
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure, or willingness to learn.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, troubleshooting, collaboration, and learning abilities.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Must be able to pass a federal background investigation and obtain a Public Trust.
- Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid state driver’s license, and be able to obtain and maintain Defensive Drivers certification; the role may require operating a government vehicle.
