Responsibilities
- Design and implement frontend and backend C/C++ software for programming 3D smart cameras.
- Develop C/C++ software on ARM-based embedded systems.
- Integrate new 3D sensors and cameras into the Cognex In-Sight platform.
- Design and evolve shared 3D visualization libraries and common platform components.
- Develop new visualization features and components for Cognex 3D products.
- Implement automated tests and contribute to code quality and reliability.
- Review requirements, provide development estimates, participate in planning and design reviews, and evaluate technical alternatives.
- Mentor team members, share expertise, and promote engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience.
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong C++ programming skills and a solid understanding of operating system concepts.
- Strong experience designing and developing embedded C++ software for architectures such as ARM.
- Machine vision or image-processing experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of C#, OpenGL, and JavaScript is valued.
- Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent English is required; knowledge of Catalan and willingness to learn the language are a plus.
