Responsibilities
- Build and extend internal and client-facing full-stack web applications.
- Deliver performant, accessible, maintainable frontend and backend features.
- Integrate business systems through APIs, enterprise platforms, and identity management solutions.
- Develop scalable cloud-native applications with a focus on Microsoft Azure and operational excellence.
- Improve reusable components, developer tooling, testing practices, and architectural standards.
- Apply secure coding, authentication, authorization, automated testing, and data protection practices.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT.
- Collaborate with consultants, cloud engineers, UX designers, business stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Share knowledge and mentor colleagues through code reviews, best practices, and technical coaching.
- Contribute to BDO's web development practice, standards, and delivery methodologies.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of modern full-stack web development experience for the Medior level or 5 years for the Senior level.
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript, modern JavaScript, and the Node.js ecosystem.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Svelte, SvelteKit, React, Vue, or Next.js.
- Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, and ORM or query-builder patterns.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, and modern deployment practices.
- Understanding of secure development, authentication, authorization, OWASP Top 10, and data protection requirements.
- Comfort with Git workflows, code reviews, testing, and maintainable software architecture.
- Interest in AI-assisted development tools and emerging technologies.
- Fluency in Dutch or French and strong English proficiency.
- Collaborative, solution-oriented mindset and willingness to contribute to a growing practice.
- Experience with GitHub Actions is a plus.
- Familiarity with automated testing, accessibility standards, schema validation, containerized environments, serverless architectures, design systems, theming, internationalization, architecture documentation, consulting, or multi-project environments is beneficial.
