Base Salary
$194k - $267k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver cloud-based infrastructure projects using the modern technology stack.
- Evaluate, develop, and roll out shared features and frameworks.
- Operate, support, upgrade, and scale shared services and frameworks.
- Conduct design and code reviews and maintain high programming standards through unit and functional testing.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and fix owned services and frameworks.
- Evaluate system performance and resolve bottlenecks.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Collaborate with architects, QA, product owners, security engineers, and operations engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 8+ years of programming experience in an object-oriented language such as Java, especially for backend services.
- Strong understanding of multithreading, garbage collection, and memory management.
- 3+ years of experience with MySQL or equivalent relational database systems.
- 3+ years of developing, operating, optimizing, and troubleshooting web services on Kubernetes.
- Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Tomcat, AWS, Redis, and Docker.
- Experience with REST and understanding of its fundamentals; gRPC knowledge is a plus.
- Experience architecting, implementing, tuning, and debugging large enterprise cloud deployments.
- Knowledge of network security, authentication, and authorization.
- Experience with AWS EKS and GCP is a plus.
- Experience with enterprise SaaS is preferred.
- Ability to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status upon hire.
- Familiarity with Agile software development processes.
