Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Create architectural diagrams and design documents for PolicyCenter solutions.
- Write, configure, package, and deploy software using Guidewire tools and accelerators.
- Design and implement integrations with external systems and Web APIs using REST and JSON.
- Configure PolicyCenter product models, business rules, workflows, UI screens, rating components, and policy lifecycle functionality.
- Perform peer code reviews and ensure development, testing, and deployment standards are followed.
- Manage Guidewire upgrades, patches, Cloud version upgrades, Assurance Reports, and related technical resolution efforts.
- Monitor system performance, resolve complex technical issues, and recommend improvements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members while collaborating with business partners and engineering teams.
- Develop automated GUnit tests and work with Guidewire Messaging Engine components, message queues, transports, and plugins.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of proven Guidewire PolicyCenter development experience, including hands-on PolicyCenter and Guidewire Cloud experience.
- Expertise in GOSU, Guidewire configuration and coding tools, Guidewire Batch, predefined plugins, product model configuration, business rules, UI configuration, and core PolicyCenter functional areas.
- 5+ years of experience coding RESTful APIs and 5+ years of experience with multiple programming languages such as C#, Java, and Python.
- Experience designing business database applications, modern web applications, and REST/JSON Web APIs.
- Guidewire Associate Certification is required; Guidewire Ace Certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of property and casualty insurance, Guidewire Integration or BillingCenter, Advanced Product Designer, rating configuration, automated GUnit testing, and Guidewire Cloud upgrades is preferred.
- 5+ years of relational database and SQL experience, with MS SQL Server and Transact-SQL proficiency preferred.
- Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, TeamCity, DataDog, Guidewire Home, and Guidewire Messaging Engine components.
- Ability to read code in other languages, reverse engineer products, and provide technical mentorship and guidance.
