Base Salary

$163k - $245k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate autonomy software for launched-effects platforms, including mission behaviors, payload computer bring-up, autopilot integration, multi-agent coordination, and deployment to air-gapped environments.
  • Own major features or subsystems from design through simulation, hardware and vehicle testing, live flight testing, and operational deployment.
  • Collaborate with autonomy, perception, feature, autopilot vendor, C2 provider, contractor, and customer teams.
  • Prepare, configure, and validate mission-ready systems for capability releases and fleet-scale deployments.
  • Diagnose hardware/software integration issues across autonomy software, payload computers, embedded systems, and platform interfaces.
  • Implement and validate C2 interfaces and support UCI, OMS, MOSA, WOSA, and TAK/CoT standards.
  • Capture mission data, reproduce issues in simulation, improve releases, and support field tests, customer exercises, and live demonstrations.
  • Contribute to design reviews, interface control documents, integration planning, post-mortems, and engineering-process improvements.
  • Travel approximately 10–20% to offices, customer sites, training events, flight tests, and integration exercises.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Typically 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent advanced-degree experience.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and experience developing or integrating real-time or embedded systems.
  • Experience with Linux-based development, embedded systems, and complex software/hardware integration.
  • Experience supporting system integration, testing, or field events.
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
  • Preferred experience includes launched effects, unmanned or autonomous platforms, PX4, ArduPilot, multi-agent autonomy, Python, Docker, CMake, Conan, CI/CD, military field exercises, or defense customers.
