Base Salary
$140k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain custom hardware test beds, reusable test automation frameworks, software tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop test plans, test cases, technical test approaches, and traceability matrices for complex hardware/software integrations.
- Lead failure analysis, debugging, diagnosis, and risk-mitigation efforts for testing issues and environmental reliability.
- Drive risk-based testing strategies and comprehensive coverage of critical-path functionality.
- Collaborate with development and cross-functional engineering teams to diagnose system anomalies and evaluate new technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 10+ years of professional experience, or a Master’s degree with 9+ years in an SDET, embedded test, or software engineering role.
- Demonstrated leadership of complex automation projects from design through implementation, along with deep-dive manual exploratory testing and technical test-case design.
- Strong hands-on software development experience with Python and C++, including the ability to debug and contribute to diverse codebases with Bash scripting.
- Experience leveraging AI coding assistants while validating and improving generated solutions for system integrity and maintainability.
- Professional testing and validation experience in at least three of cloud computing, embedded systems, networking, IoT with RTOS, controls, MIL/SIL/PIL simulations, emulators, or complex algorithms.
- Desirable experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Jira, Xray, GitLab, or equivalent tools.
