Base Salary
$149k - $199k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build video experiences for Android mobile and Android TV using Kotlin and the Android SDK.
- Understand Android internals and debug and diagnose device-specific issues.
- Collaborate with application, service, design, and product teams to create user experiences for Disney+ viewers.
- Create and maintain software development lifecycle documentation.
- Deliver features with high code quality, including unit and integration tests.
- Perform code reviews, drive continuous improvement, and promote knowledge sharing.
- Build telemetry to measure and monitor feature success.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent training or work experience.
- Experience building video experiences for Android mobile and Android TV using Kotlin and the Android SDK.
- Understanding of Android internals and device-specific issue diagnosis.
- Preferred: familiarity with Android TV or Amazon Fire TV development.
- Preferred: experience with streaming video, codecs, and DRM.
- Preferred: experience maintaining a large, modularized codebase.
- Preferred: experience using performance profiling tools such as Android Profiler.
