Base Salary
$149k - $199k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build video experiences for Android mobile and Android TV using Kotlin and the Android SDK.
- Understand Android internals and diagnose device-specific issues.
- Collaborate with application, service, design, and product teams to improve the Disney+ viewer experience.
- Create and maintain documentation across the software development lifecycle.
- Deliver features with unit and integration tests and maintain high code quality.
- Perform code reviews, drive continuous improvement, and promote knowledge sharing.
- Build telemetry to measure and monitor feature success.
Requirements
- Five years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent training or work experience.
- Experience building Android mobile and Android TV video experiences with Kotlin and the Android SDK.
- Understanding of Android internals and device diagnostics.
- Preferred familiarity with Android TV and Amazon Fire TV development.
- Preferred experience with streaming video, codecs, and DRM.
- Preferred experience maintaining a large, modularized codebase.
- Preferred experience using performance profiling tools such as Android Profiler.
Benefits
- Full-time position in New York, NY, with a stated hiring range of $148,700.00 to $199,400.00 per year.
- Bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided in addition to medical, financial, and other benefits, depending on the level and position.
