Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and tune email protection policies while measuring catch rates and false positives.
- Manage SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records and onboard third-party senders toward enforcement.
- Investigate phishing and business email compromise cases, extract indicators, and implement blocking and post-delivery removal.
- Automate message tracing, quarantine review, indicator blocking, and reporting through APIs and orchestration tooling.
- Troubleshoot complex mail-flow, routing, and encryption issues with the messaging team.
- Mentor engineers on email security practices.
Requirements
- Five or more years of messaging or security engineering experience, including at least three years focused on email security.
- Hands-on experience with a secure email gateway or cloud email protection platform, including policy design, quarantine operations, and message tracing.
- Working knowledge of SMTP, DNS, TLS, email authentication standards, and Exchange Online administration.
- Scripting ability in PowerShell or Python and experience automating email security operations through APIs.
- English proficiency at Level B2 or higher.
- Preferred qualifications include Microsoft SC-200, MS-203, GCIA, or a vendor email security credential.
- Experience integrating email telemetry with a SIEM and building automated phishing-response playbooks is preferred.
