Responsibilities
- Design, optimize, implement, and deploy high-performance transport protocols for AI and LLM applications.
- Design, optimize, implement, and deploy congestion-control algorithms for AI and LLM applications.
- Research and develop high-performance AI communication frameworks and network protocol stacks.
- Optimize host-network-application co-design to improve the scalability, reliability, and performance of AI and LLM networks.
- Track academic and industry developments, identify innovative system components, and present research in academic papers.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a PhD in computer networking or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with network protocols such as TCP and RoCEv2 and network programming using Socket and verbs APIs.
- Familiarity with data-center congestion-control algorithms and their tradeoffs.
- Knowledge of scale-up protocols such as PCIe, NVLink, and UALink and their differences from scale-out network protocols.
- Familiarity with high-speed network systems, including RDMA, congestion control, and AI network optimization.
- Proficiency in one or more mainstream programming languages, including C, C++, Python, or Go.
- Knowledge of GPU architecture.
- Experience developing high-performance communication frameworks such as NCCL, MPI, and RPC libraries is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI training or inference systems and software-hardware co-design is preferred.
- Top-tier networking conference publications, such as NSDI, SIGCOMM, OSDI, or SOSP, are preferred.
