Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive test strategies and plans covering functional, regression, integration, and system validation.
- Build and maintain reusable Java and Karate automation frameworks and automated regression suites.
- Perform Karate-based API validation, including scenario design and assertion modeling.
- Develop test data strategies with synthetic, boundary, and airline-related scenarios.
- Analyze defects using root-cause techniques and collaborate with development teams on lasting fixes.
- Monitor and optimize CI test execution pipelines, scripts, test data, and environment stability.
- Review peer code and test designs and provide feedback on automation reliability and reuse.
- Prepare test reports, quality dashboards, and release-readiness insights for stakeholders.
- Coordinate with environment support teams to maintain production-representative test environments.
- Propose quality process, tooling, and metrics improvements and share Java and Karate automation practices.
- Guide and coach junior quality engineers on test design, debugging, and disciplined execution.
- Support end-to-end PEGA ADM maintenance, enhancement, and platform evolution initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on Java experience building reusable test automation components and frameworks.
- Deep practical expertise with Karate for API test automation and CI toolchain integration.
- Knowledge of quality engineering principles, risk-based testing, coverage analysis, non-functional testing, and test data management.
- Familiarity with airline reservations, schedules, pricing, and operational workflows is valued.
- Ability to analyze logs, isolate issues across tiers, and refine testing based on quantitative and qualitative feedback.
- Experience working day-shift operations and coordinating with stakeholders during business hours.
- Experience or interest in guiding junior quality engineers and contributing to continuous improvement.
