Responsibilities
- Deliver new features, enhancements, and bug fixes for a low-latency, high-throughput trading platform.
- Participate in technical analysis, design, data analysis and mapping, development, testing, documentation, and support across the full software development life cycle.
- Collaborate with business analysts, delivery leads, business users, development teams, QA teams, and regional support teams to deliver product milestones.
- Provide L2 and L3 production and user support, application testing, and maintenance releases.
- Contribute to architecture, design decisions, code reviews, software delivery practices, and adherence to development standards.
- Own deliveries independently, coordinate priorities and progress, and support implementation of new systems or upgrades when needed.
- Act as a technical and functional contact for global internal and external clients and support teams.
- Mentor and guide junior team members as necessary.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of investment banking, capital markets, and financial markets, including local market characteristics.
- Strong Core Java development skills.
- Experience with high-performance messaging, multithreading, concurrency, synchronization, networking using TCP/UDP, and performance engineering.
- Understanding of distributed systems, message-oriented architecture, and event-driven systems.
- Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, self-management, prioritization, and execution skills.
- Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with global teams across geographies.
- Knowledge of execution services, sales client connectivity, algorithmic trading, market connectivity, or FNO is desirable.
- Prior development experience with equity-market trading systems is desirable.
- Skilled in AI tools such as Claude and CoPilot is desirable.
