Base Salary
$140k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop web-based frontend applications and backend microservices using Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Python.
- Design, implement, and maintain performant APIs for web clients, devices, mobile applications, and third-party integrations.
- Own services and features from development through deployment, production monitoring, and on-call release management rotations.
- Translate product requirements into functional and extensible software while supporting project planning and feature development.
- Partner with Infrastructure and QA teams on data models, highly available services, and comprehensive test plans.
- Promote AI-powered engineering and productivity tools for coding, testing, code review, documentation, and incident analysis.
- Mentor junior engineers, advocate engineering best practices, contribute to CI/CD and DevOps practices, and help define the technical roadmap.
- Triage bugs, resolve operational issues, participate in design and code reviews, and evaluate frameworks for product performance improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience focused on full stack engineering.
- Deep backend expertise in Java and experience using Spring Boot to build microservices.
- Professional frontend engineering experience with React and TypeScript.
- Experience championing AI-based software engineering and productivity tools, including coding assistants, automated testing, code quality analysis, or operational intelligence tools.
- Strong working knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and document databases such as MongoDB.
- Preferred experience includes payments or fintech, legacy-system re-architecture for high availability and scale, Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Kubernetes, AWS Lambda, LLM prompting techniques, Kotlin, or Python.
