Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver services, features, and developer tools for Microsoft Foundry Service.
- Develop capabilities for Foundry Agent Service and Hosted Agents, including managed runtimes and secure isolated execution.
- Work on agent session lifecycle, workload scheduling, autoscaling, identity and networking integration, model and tool connectivity, observability, evaluation, publishing, and customer-managed compute.
- Operate and improve globally distributed services for reliability, scalability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate across organizations and geographies while contributing to technical roadmaps, mentoring, and engineering initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience designing, developing, and shipping software.
- Proficiency in one or more of C#, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Rust, or Go.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience with distributed systems, cloud services, containers, orchestration platforms, or production AI infrastructure.
- Preferred experience diagnosing complex technical issues and improving online-service reliability, scalability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
- Preferred technical leadership experience, including driving engineering roadmaps, leading virtual teams, or mentoring engineers.
- Preferred experience building AI applications or agents using models, tools, retrieval, agent frameworks, evaluation, tracing, or observability.
- Preferred experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service, secure workload isolation, cloud networking, public cloud services, identity, role-based access control, private networking, or operational monitoring.
