Responsibilities
- Build and ship reliable software that solves real user problems across Docplanner product areas.
- Work across the stack to design, implement, and deploy product features.
- Contribute to marketplace, practice management, clinical tooling, and patient/data integration initiatives.
- Own product surfaces end to end within small autonomous teams.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and workflows to improve engineering effectiveness.
- Collaborate across services and teams through shared documentation, cross-functional ownership, and open internal practices.
- Deliver production impact early while maintaining simplicity, correctness, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
Requirements
- Strong foundations in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, complexity, and core software engineering principles.
- Ability to build real software and solve complex problems with simple, effective solutions.
- Comfort working across the stack to design, implement, and ship features.
- Builder mindset with ownership of outcomes rather than only assigned tasks.
- Curiosity about users and problems, including willingness to understand user needs and iterate on solutions.
- High learning velocity and ability to learn new technologies, tools, and domains quickly.
- Interest in experimenting with AI coding tools, agents, and new engineering workflows.
- Preferred academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another rigorous technical discipline.
- Preferred experience in competitive programming, including ICPC, Google Code Jam, national olympiads, Codeforces, or similar competitions.
- Preferred evidence of building things through side projects, startups, open-source contributions, hackathons, or shipped products.
- Preferred exposure to collaborative development, continuous delivery, observability, and AI-assisted development practices.
