Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and ship software features that solve real user problems.
- Work across the stack on marketplace, search, practice management, clinical, patient, and data integration products.
- Build reliable, scalable systems and contribute to real production systems early in the role.
- Break down complex problems and develop simple, effective solutions.
- Take ownership of problems and outcomes from conception through deployment.
- Collaborate across services and teams using shared documentation and maintainer guidance.
- Experiment with AI coding tools, agents, and AI-assisted engineering workflows.
Requirements
- Strong foundations in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, complexity, and core software engineering principles.
- Ability to build real software and work comfortably across the stack.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop elegant, pragmatic solutions.
- Builder mindset with ownership of outcomes rather than only assigned tasks.
- Curiosity about users and their problems, including comfort speaking with users and iterating on solutions.
- High learning velocity and willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and domains.
- Active interest in AI-first engineering and AI coding tools, agents, and new workflows.
- Preferred: academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another rigorous technical discipline.
- Preferred: competitive programming experience, including ICPC, Google Code Jam, national olympiads, Codeforces, or similar competitions.
- Preferred: side projects, startups, open-source contributions, hackathons, or shipped products.
- Preferred: experience with collaborative development, continuous delivery, observability, and AI-assisted development practices.
