Base Salary

$172k - $240k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own and mature CDW’s enterprise AI security assessment program, including criteria, risk tiers, and approve, restrict, monitor, or block decisions.
  • Lead security assessments of AI systems, agents, integrations, platforms, vendors, and shadow AI before and after deployment.
  • Define enterprise AI security standards, reference architectures, secure design patterns, lifecycle requirements, trust boundaries, authorization models, and least-privilege controls.
  • Design and deploy AI guardrails, sandboxes, runtime controls, AI gateways, prompt and response inspection, data loss prevention, rate limiting, and circuit breaking.
  • Govern AI identities including agents, service principals, workload identities, and delegated access in partnership with Identity Engineering.
  • Build detections, telemetry, and response playbooks for prompt injection, jailbreaks, data leakage, model abuse, and tool misuse.
  • Define AI red-teaming methods and automated adversarial testing to validate findings and controls under attack conditions.
  • Present risk assessments and investment priorities to senior leadership and security governance bodies.
  • Mentor security engineers and architects and publish practical guidance for secure AI adoption.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of security engineering or security architecture experience, including hands-on work securing AI/ML systems, or 14+ years of relevant security engineering or architecture experience.
  • Proven experience designing and leading security assessments of AI systems, platforms, or vendors and converting findings into risk-based decisions.
  • Hands-on experience securing production AI technologies, including AI guardrails or sandboxes, AI or agent identities, prompt-injection mitigation, or AI security tooling.
  • Experience securing production AI systems beyond research or theory and understanding LLM pretraining, fine-tuning, RLHF, inference, retrieval-augmented generation, and safety alignment.
  • Experience securing AI platforms and agent frameworks such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI services, OpenAI or Anthropic tool use, MCP integrations, Semantic Kernel, or LangChain.
  • Experience securing public-cloud AI deployments using Azure, AWS, or GCP, together with identity and access management and zero-trust principles.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Preferred experience includes defending production AI systems at scale, frontier AI lab work, infrastructure, cloud, platform, corporate security, security operations, detection and response, secure software review, offensive security, AI security posture management, AI gateways, or AI observability platforms.
  • Published work, conference talks, CTF results, production red-team work, prompt-injection or jailbreak research, adversarial ML experience, and certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, OSCP, or AI security credentials are preferred.
