Responsibilities
- Own ambiguous technical topics and drive small- to medium-sized initiatives.
- Administer and improve Jira, Confluence, and other Atlassian platforms at enterprise scale.
- Design, develop, deploy, and sustain tailored full-stack software solutions.
- Automate work using scripts, APIs, Jira automation, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Contribute to Atlassian Cloud adoption and Data Center-to-Cloud migration initiatives.
- Improve the end-to-end software delivery process and address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and architectural challenges.
- Develop technical strategies aligned with global organizational objectives.
- Mentor engineers, share knowledge through talks and events, and foster collaboration.
- Partner with stakeholders, Product Owners, and software compliance colleagues in a global regulated environment.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering or IT platforms.
- At least 3 years of hands-on Atlassian administration experience, ideally with Atlassian Cloud.
- Current or past hands-on experience as a software developer.
- Deep knowledge of Jira and Confluence; broader Atlassian portfolio experience is preferred.
- Experience managing Atlassian Cloud at enterprise scale; Data Center and Data Center-to-Cloud migration experience is a plus.
- Understanding of GxP and computer system validation, ideally involving validated Jira templates, is advantageous.
- Hands-on programming expertise in some of Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience driving small- to medium-sized initiatives and adapting across changing priorities.
- Experience mentoring technically and sharing knowledge through speeches or organized events.
- Ability to design and improve software delivery from code through production.
- Understanding of cybersecurity and secure software development practices.
- Experience addressing technical debt, performance issues, architectural challenges, and software quality metrics.
- Strong collaboration, learning, accountability, proactive ownership, autonomy, planning, and estimation skills.
