Responsibilities
- Build reliable backend systems and design scalable APIs for new product features
- Own central and complex components of the application
- Drive and deliver product roadmap work by turning rough specifications into features
- Implement a scalable, stable, and user-friendly product
- Debug production issues and improve system performance and reliability
- Collaborate with co-founders, software engineers, product, design, customer success, support, and sales
- Provide leadership and mentorship to other engineers
- Ship new features regularly and work with autonomy and impact
Requirements
- Experience designing and maintaining complex, large, or growing systems
- Ability to assess edge cases, failure modes, bottlenecks, migrations, releases, and metrics in system and code reviews
- Strong debugging and production-issue root-cause analysis skills
- Proactive approach to fixing problems and suggesting improvements
- Commitment to software best practices and thorough testing
- Experience with the listed technology stack is not required
