Responsibilities
- Own an engineering project while collaborating with team members through regular questions and updates.
- Improve code through progressive refactoring.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and load tests to support reliability.
- Participate in code reviews to improve quality and share knowledge.
- Contribute to continuous integration and deployment.
- Build work that improves Lyft’s products for drivers and passengers.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science at a university in Canada.
- Expected graduation between December 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Available for the Summer 2027 internship in Montreal.
- Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a startup environment.
- Experience with databases, real-time technology problems, and mobile development.
- Contributions to open source projects are valued.
- Fluent spoken and written English and working proficiency in French.
- Master’s candidates with prior full-time work between bachelor’s and master’s programs must have less than two years of relevant full-time experience.
