Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, test, and release embedded software in C/C++ for Wi-Fi ICs and connectivity solutions.
- Participate in architecture and design discussions and define scalable, maintainable, high-performance software solutions.
- Own software features from design through implementation, testing, and production release.
- Develop unit tests, functional tests, validation, and automation for software quality and reliability.
- Debug complex software, firmware, and system-level issues using JTAG, GDB, and logic analyzers.
- Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers, test teams, and cross-functional groups on hardware, protocol stack, and system integration.
- Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior engineers.
- Drive improvements in software architecture, development processes, testing, performance, reliability, and engineering practices.
- Perform root-cause analysis of customer and field issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development.
- Strong coding skills in C and C++.
- Knowledge of Wi-Fi or other networking protocol stacks.
- Experience with RTOS-based environments.
- Experience with unit testing, debugging, and validation in embedded environments.
- Experience applying software development practices including design, coding standards, code reviews, and maintainability.
- Experience applying unit, integration, and functional testing practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and continuous integration workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Exposure to the Linux kernel, device drivers, or open-source development is preferred.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and iterative development environments is preferred.
