Responsibilities
- Determine user requirements with stakeholders and drive dependencies and design documentation for products, applications, services, or platforms.
- Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance, maintainability, effectiveness, and ROI.
- Drive workgroup project plans, release plans, and work items in partnership with stakeholders such as project managers.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual, guide other engineers, participate in on-call operations, monitor services, and coordinate incident recovery.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance while driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and 7+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production-grade software and services at scale.
- Strong hands-on software development experience using an object-oriented programming language.
- Preferred experience with cloud services and distributed systems.
- Expertise in complex technical challenges involving distributed systems, AI/ML infrastructure, developer platforms, or cloud services is preferred.
- Experience engaging with customers during integration or deployment phases is preferred.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
