Responsibilities
- Lead development of scalable Product-Led Growth features for onboarding, conversion, self-service growth, and in-app automation.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, architectural direction, and high-quality Java backend code.
- Own technical debt, scalability, platform stability, automation, monitoring, and engineering standards.
- Mentor team members through design reviews and technical guidance.
- Own server-side systems including API design, feature flag management, and production deployments.
- Write and execute database migration scripts, resolve data inconsistencies, and coordinate safe rollouts between legacy and new configurations.
- Define regression testing scope, manage QA environments, and coordinate multi-phase releases from release candidate to production.
- Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and SRE to align infrastructure with the Product-Led Growth roadmap.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java, the core language used for backend development and system integration.
- Backend engineering experience in a SaaS environment with ownership of server-side systems.
- Experience with API design, feature flag management, and production deployments.
- Hands-on experience with database state management, data migration scripts, data inconsistency resolution, and safe configuration rollouts.
- Familiarity with QA processes and test automation, including regression testing scope, QA environments, and staged release rollouts.
