Responsibilities
- Lead complex engineering projects throughout the full software development lifecycle.
- Mentor members of the Application Engineering team and foster learning and growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and system architecture.
- Drive coding, testing, and maintenance best practices.
- Own technical decisions and remain accountable for project results.
- Become a subject matter expert in one or more areas of the technology stack and support others.
Requirements
- More than three years of commercial experience with a history of leading technical projects.
- Experience with server-side technologies including Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing engineering talent.
- Exceptional problem-solving, strategic, and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's or master's degree with a First or 2:1, preferably in a technical subject.
- Familiarity with Python, Java, and frontend frameworks is beneficial.
