Base Salary
$160k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, and maintain embedded software for elevator control systems.
- Develop C and C++ embedded software and low-level device-driver functionality.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex electronic hardware, firmware, and software systems.
- Perform functionality, performance, integration, validation, and software coverage testing.
- Conduct technical and design reviews and support product architecture and technical roadmaps.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Drive resolution of product issues with field and manufacturing teams.
- Evaluate technologies and identify opportunities to improve Vantage products and engineering processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in real-time embedded software or firmware engineering.
- Strong embedded firmware development skills, including proficiency in C and C++.
- Experience with real-time operating systems, hardware-software interaction, low-level device drivers, and board-level electrical systems.
- Experience with scripting and development tools such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Cygwin, and Make.
- Experience with Git or Subversion revision control systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex software, firmware, and hardware issues independently.
- Knowledge of software engineering principles, architecture, design standards, development practices, and software testing.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, conduct design reviews, and mentor less experienced engineers.
- Elevator industry experience, elevator systems knowledge, and familiarity with A17, EN, BS, and related elevator codes are highly preferred.
