Responsibilities
- Build and operate reliable, low-latency services that detect and prevent fraud and abuse at scale.
- Design APIs and dashboard experiences for investigating threats, configuring defenses, and understanding Radar protections.
- Develop shared platform and infrastructure for launching Radar capabilities.
- Work with users to understand emerging threats and convert those insights into broadly useful products.
- Partner with ML engineers and data scientists to bring signals, models, and AI capabilities into production.
- Own projects end to end through technical design, implementation, rollout, measurement, and iteration.
- Lead and unblock engineers on substantial projects while maintaining high standards for engineering quality, reliability, and product craft.
Requirements
- 10+ years of backend and/or full-stack software development experience.
- Strong coding skills in any programming language and experience maintaining production software.
- Experience leading the design and delivery of large, complex software projects from definition through production launch.
- Experience leading and unblocking a group of engineers as a senior individual contributor, with significant hands-on coding in the last year.
- Ability to work across systems, learn unfamiliar codebases, and make thoughtful technical trade-offs in ambiguous environments.
- Excellent cross-functional and cross-organizational collaboration and alignment skills.
- Understanding of basic data science concepts such as linear models, precision, and recall.
- Experience building consumer products at scale, particularly products requiring substantial user trust.
- Experience working closely with fast customers, including leading upsell calls.
- Preferred: experience collaborating with data science and ML teams, building 0-to-1 products, or working with payments, fintech, regulated financial products, stablecoins, or digital assets.
- Preferred: experience with Java, Ruby, and/or TypeScript.
