Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture, design, and implementation of business email products.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers in system design and decision-making.
- Write high-quality Java code and ensure scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Growth, Marketing, and BizDev teams.
- Identify and address systemic issues proactively.
- Balance short-term delivery with long-term system health.
Requirements
- 10+ years of backend engineering experience with large-scale systems.
- Deep expertise in Java and backend service development.
- Strong experience with distributed systems and production reliability.
- Proven track record of technical leadership at Staff or Senior-plus level.
- Experience in evolving existing systems without unnecessary rewrites.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- A mindset oriented toward mentorship and inclusive leadership.
