Responsibilities
- Assist with designing and deploying secure network architectures using firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts.
- Develop and maintain Python, PowerShell, and Bash automation scripts for security monitoring and patch management.
- Participate in security incident response drills and analyze logs using SIEM tools such as Splunk and Elastic.
- Contribute to security hardening guides and documentation for AWS and Azure.
- Perform internal application penetration testing under guidance and report findings.
- Work with DevOps, IT, and compliance teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
- Attend technical briefings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and mentorship meetings.
Requirements
- Be completing or have completed a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Major or have majored in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Cybersecurity and Information Assurance.
- Be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program access within a reasonable time determined by the company.
- Preferred: cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher.
- Preferred: internship, co-op, or other work experience, along with leadership, teamwork, communication, and extracurricular or community activities.
