Base Salary

$76k - $141k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Estimate, design, code, test, and deliver applications from design through implementation and automated testing.
  • Build and maintain customer-facing web and cloud applications using HTML, JavaScript, Java, Web APIs, AWS, and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with an 8–12-person engineering team through Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and shared ownership of outcomes.
  • Support production systems, troubleshoot problems, communicate clearly, and maintain the quality and timeliness of work.
  • Work with product partners and stakeholders to break down requirements and continuously improve software development and operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; a computer science degree is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of full-time web development experience.
  • Experience with HTML, JavaScript, Web APIs, and a JavaScript framework such as Angular, Knockout, Backbone.js, Ember.js, ExtJS, or Dojo.
  • Strong experience with a traditional programming language, preferably Java, as well as software engineering methodologies and development tools.
  • Experience with AWS or comparable cloud services, hybrid cloud ecosystems, and deployment or edge patterns such as Spinnaker, Zuul, or Bastion.
  • Experience with Jenkins or a comparable continuous integration tool, JUnit, Karma, and Gradle or equivalent build automation.
  • Experience with non-SQL data access technologies, particularly Elasticsearch, and preferably GraphQL, ElastiCache, Redis, D3.js, or Highcharts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, teamwork, independence, and ability to align with team priorities.
