Base Salary
$200k - $311k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set the technical direction and define architectures for systems underlying AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Own technical architecture, end-to-end delivery, and major technical decisions across organizational boundaries.
- Partner closely with Product Management and senior leadership to propose products and shape technical and business strategy.
- Develop large-scale compute connectivity, real-time media, security and threat defense, packet-processing, and cloud networking systems.
- Design VPC cross-plane networking architecture and maintain contracts and scale models across control, delivery, and hardware enforcement planes.
- Lead concurrent technical initiatives for systems that operate in production at global scale.
Requirements
- 15+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience owning technical architecture, end-to-end delivery, and partnerships with senior leadership.
- Track record of leading multiple concurrent technical initiatives and driving decisions across organizational boundaries.
- Experience influencing VP- and SVP-level technical and business strategy.
- Deep expertise in at least one domain such as WebRTC, QUIC, DNS, distributed systems, network architecture, web security, game backend systems, large-scale packet processing, or cloud virtual networking and data-plane systems.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++, Rust, Go, or Java.
- Preferred: Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
