Base Salary
$194k - $267k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to Okta’s FedRAMP initiative.
- Design, develop, and deliver cloud-based infrastructure projects.
- Drive evaluation and rollout of new common microservices.
- Operate, support, and upgrade shared services and frameworks.
- Evaluate existing systems for future business needs.
- Conduct design and code reviews for scalability and redundancy.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and fix owned services and frameworks.
- Evaluate system performance and resolve bottlenecks.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Collaborate with architects, QA, product owners, and operations engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent; master's preferred.
- 7+ years of programming experience in a modern language like Go, Java, or C++.
- 4+ years of experience with PostgreSQL or equivalent relational databases.
- Experience with cloud fundamentals like IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding practices.
- Demonstrated experience working with REST and understanding its fundamentals.
- Experience with AWS, Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Kinesis, Kafka, and Docker.
- Knowledge of network security, authentication, and authorization.
- Familiarity with Agile software development processes.
