Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of PLC-based control solutions for Vanderlande distribution systems.
- Translate customer needs into robust and scalable automation solutions with multidisciplinary teams.
- Create technical deliverables, support system integration, analyze risks, and improve control-system functionality.
- Program Siemens PLC, HMI, and safety systems, including motion-control applications and industrial communications.
- Lead automation projects with minimal supervision and mentor junior engineers.
- Test and validate solutions through system integration and virtual commissioning.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with Siemens PLC platforms, including S7-1200, S7-1500, and the ET200 family.
- Expert proficiency in TIA Portal V15 or later, including PLC, HMI, and Safety.
- Experience with Safety PLC programming, F-Systems, safety functions, and SIL/PL concepts.
- Strong understanding of PROFINET, PROFIBUS, and OPC UA.
- Experience with Siemens G120 and S120 drives and motion-control applications.
- Familiarity with SCADA and data connectivity tools or technologies including WinCC, Unified, MQTT, SQL, or MES.
- Understanding of IEC 62443 principles, STL, and SCL programming languages.
- Experience in high-speed manufacturing, food and beverage, logistics, robotics, or OEM machinery is preferred.
- Experience with PLCsim Advanced and familiarity with version control and CI/CD concepts for PLC development are preferred.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
- Fluent English communication skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
