Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing of WordPress and CMS-based websites, including functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, integration, UI, compatibility, responsive, usability, content, and integration testing.
- Validate WordPress templates, pages, posts, reusable components, plugins, forms, navigation, media, widgets, and other CMS-managed functionality.
- Test across Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, desktop, tablet, mobile, Android, iOS, different screen resolutions, orientations, and physical devices.
- Use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser Developer Tools to inspect DOM elements, investigate network requests, identify console errors, and provide technical defect information.
- Review user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria; create, execute, enhance, and maintain test cases and scenarios.
- Identify, reproduce, document, prioritize, and track defects, including clear reproduction steps, expected and actual results, screenshots or videos, environment details, logs, and device/browser information.
- Perform database testing, regression testing, and fix validation across applicable browsers and devices.
- Use AI tools to support test-case creation, acceptance-criteria review, exploratory testing, UI and visual validation, test-data generation, edge-case analysis, and QA productivity.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Designers, and QA team members and participate in stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Provide testing estimates, progress updates, quality risks, and QA input during sprint and release activities.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of hands-on experience testing consumer-facing websites, preferably WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, browser Developer Tools, database testing, and web UI troubleshooting.
- Strong exposure to mobile and device testing across Android and iOS environments.
- Practical experience using ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or similar generative AI tools in software testing workflows.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify subtle functional and visual defects.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain defects, quality risks, and testing results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a distributed Agile team under fixed release timelines.
- Education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline; B.Tech, B.E., B.Sc. Computer Science/IT, MCA, or equivalent qualifications are preferred.
- Good academic record.
- BrowserStack or similar cross-device testing experience, Postman and basic API testing, performance-testing knowledge, and AI-assisted test generation or visual/UI testing experience are advantageous.
