Responsibilities
- Act as a technical subject-matter expert for sales teams, customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Design and architect scalable end-to-end edge solutions addressing customer use cases and business challenges.
- Lead discovery workshops, executive briefings, architecture reviews, and other customer-facing technical engagements.
- Create and deliver technical demonstrations, proofs of concept, presentations, reference architectures, white papers, blogs, and conference talks.
- Analyze markets and competitors and develop technical sales strategies that differentiate Wind River’s solutions.
- Partner with Product and R&D teams to provide market feedback, write requirements, and influence product roadmaps.
- Research emerging technologies and industry developments and advise stakeholders on their business value and ROI.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in technical sales engineering for embedded software and cloud technologies at the edge.
- Strong operating-system expertise, preferably including enterprise Linux, embedded Linux, RTOS, boot processes, kernels, drivers, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of middleware, container runtimes, Kubernetes distributions, AI runtimes, accelerators, and vendor SDKs.
- Hands-on understanding of AI frameworks and model formats including PyTorch, TensorFlow, and ONNX.
- Ability to design end-to-end edge solutions spanning data ingestion, lifecycle, deployment, runtime, and operations.
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical architectures into business value, ROI, and long-term platform strategy for executives.
- Experience leading customer-facing engagements and delivering presentations, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and reference architectures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Ability to complete the required security-clearance process and meet applicable citizenship-related legal requirements.
