Base Salary
$340k - $492k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set the technical direction of machine learning development for the autonomous-vehicle Planner.
- Develop and deploy machine learning models for the onboard Planner using imitation learning, reinforcement learning, and model scaling.
- Drive ML development improvements involving metrics, data, and training frameworks.
- Develop methods to use Zoox Foundation Models in the ML Planner.
- Prototype exploratory approaches and influence the long-term technical direction of multiple organizations.
- Provide technical mentorship to ML developers.
- Collaborate across autonomy software, perception, simulation, system design, mission assurance, and safety validation teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in computer science or a related field.
- Proven technical leadership experience in large-scale AI organizations.
- Significant experience training and deploying deep learning models to production.
- Fluency in C++ or Python, with a basic understanding of C++ required for the Python path.
- Extensive programming and algorithm design experience.
- Strong mathematics skills and 10+ years of experience.
